In this thread, "The Enclave", you will post in The New World from an Enclave members point of view. Which means, if you have a character for The New World that is a member of the Enclave, you will post here. It also means that you cannot post from that character's point of view in any other threads in The New World. There are some rule changes for this thread:
Chapter One:
It was wet and cold in the underground bunker. He noticed there was some water, dripping in from the concrete ceiling. Benjamin Davis was waiting Major Jackman's office. He was told he was going to be assigned a new partner, and going on a small intel mission to somewhere in western Colorado. He heard steel toe boots, clunking on the ground behind him.
"Morning sergeant." Major Jackman said strolling over to his desk, with a folder in his hand. He sat down in a big, brown leather chair and scooted forward.
"Now," he opened the folder and set it down on his steel desk, "you are here, because you are being assigned a new partner. Correct?"
"Uh, yes sir, 'course sir." Ben stood, with his hands behind his back.
"Well, your partner's name is....let's see," Jackman moved some papers around from his folder, "Uhhh, Sergeant John Bakeman. He is 31, and in good shape. I am putting you in command of him. You and Bakeman will be a separate unit called..." he moved some more papers around, "Bravo 3. Understood?"
"Yes sir. Uhh, when will us be meetin?" Ben asked.
"Bakeman is right outside the bunker with a chopper. You and him will be flying to Colorado, today."
"Tuday, sir?" Ben was wanting to say goodbye to his wife before he left.
"Yes Davis, today. Now go meet with Bakemen. He is waiting with Lieutenant Major Farmers. He will escort you to Colorado." Major Jackman got up from his desk. "Now, I will see you," he opened his office door, "in a few months. Good luck Sergeant."
"Thank ya, sir." Ben watched Major Jackman walk down the concrete hallway and into another room, which Ben thought, led to the chemical weapons room.
Ben grasped the cold steel door nob. He turned it, and pushed the heavy door open. The light from outside almost blinded him. He shielded his eyes from the sun and the blinding white light stopped. He saw a green helicopter, waiting in the concrete parking lot. In front was a tall man, wearing sunglasses. And next to him was a shorter man, wearing a black hat.
"Hello sergeant. This is Sergeant Bakeman, and I'm Lieutenant Major Farmers." The man in sunglasses said. "Now if you'll step inside, we'll begin our trip to Colorado." He motioned for the helicopter.
Ben got strapped in, and took a deep breath. He was afraid of heights. Slowly the chopper raised to Ben's estimate of about 50 feet, and took off towards the mountains.
- You are aloud to double post in this thread.
- Character must be over 20. (If you do not understand why, go to the New World Description thread.)
